Comic Barcelona 2026

In order to promote and give visibility to the creation of comics in the Balearic Islands, the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) is participating this year with the publishers Autsaider, Dolmen, Escápula and Ominiky with a large shared stand - »l’Illa del Còmic Balear» - in the Comic Barcelona fair, the prestigious event in the sector that is held from 15 to 17 May in Barcelona. The Illa del Còmic Balear includes an editorial section for the sale of books and a promotional space for the IEB, where recently published comic books by authors from the Balearic Islands will be exhibited for consultation.

Likewise, the IEB technician, Karen Müller, is participating in Comic Pro, the networking, thinking, action and opportunities space for the sector that is held one day before the opening to the public. Participation in this event dedicated exclusively to professionals working in the comics sector allows the Spanish comics industry to connect with renowned international publishers and agents, to showcase our talents and generate business opportunities for participants.

For this edition, several illustrations by Bartolomé Seguí star in the graphic image of the Balearic Islands stand.
